Fire Retardant- Merino Wool

Merino wool is a fire retardant. Merino wool ignites at a very very high temperature. It would have to be over 1,058 degrees fahrenheit. It has a high level of nitrogen which means that it is a fire retardant. Even if it does catch fire, it will often extinguish quickly. So due to Merino Wool's softness and because it is a fire retardant this makes it a great choice for baby clothes and baby blankets.
